There seems to be an explosion of instrumental acts right now that are taking on the world. Khruangbin helped usher the sonically pleasing atmospheric psych guitar revolution, and Hermanos have taken their own stab at the instrumental-leaning genre bending with their spaghetti western, Santa Fe vibed out minimalist guitar with some latin flare.
The Ecuadorian-Swiss brothers caught the attention of Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), a guitar wiz himself, and released their sixth album in ‘22 through Dan’s label Easy Eye Sound. And just last week, the duo returned with another dusty, cosmic-psych dripped album that could be in any modern day Wes Anderson western-skewing flick. If you are in search of something that will take you a pensive journey, Sonido Cósmico will be that album for you upon it’s release in June.
