Dreamer Boy
Indie Pop
Spokane, Washington
Dreamer Boy, the moniker of Zach Taylor, is a project rooted in change, chance, and regionality. Born in Spokane, raised in Waco, and most recently Nashville-based, the young musician shows signs of influence from all three regions of his life.
His newest album, LONESTAR, visits some twangy indie undertones with the likes of “Twin Flame”, the more pop-forward non-country Nashville sound of “If You’re Not In Love”, and the more therapeutic indie-synth of the PNW with “Summer in America”. The album itself is all over the board, but not in a bad way. In a weird way, it works. It’s a playbook for life, and it’s a seductive listen for anyone wanting a little cowboycore but without the outright country sound.
Expect big things from Dreamer Boy in the coming months, as he takes on the Summer in America tour.
